Adobe Photoshop is a raster graphics editor developed and published by Adobe Inc. for Windows and macOS. It was originally created in 1987 by Thomas and John Knoll. Since then, the software has become the most used tool for professional digital art, especially in raster graphics editing. The software's name is often colloquially used as a verb (e.g. "to photoshop an image", "photoshopping", and "photoshop contest")[6] although Adobe discourages such use.[7]

The same happens not only in English but as the Portuguese Wikipedia entry for image manipulation attests, even in that language, with the trademark being followed by the Portuguese verb termination -ar, yielding the word "photoshopar" (to photoshop). Such derivatives are discouraged by Adobe[7] because, in order to maintain validity and protect the trademark from becoming generic, trademarks must be used as proper nouns.[citation needed]

Back in Photoshop CS3 and earlier, whenever we opened two or more images at once, each image would appear on screen in its own independent, floating document window. Photoshop CS4 introduced tabbed document windows, where all of the images appeared nested inside a single document separated by a series of name tabs along the top. Switching between the images was done by clicking on their tabs, sort of like switching between folders in a filing cabinet.
Photoshop CS5 also uses tabbed documents by default, and while some people think they're great, others prefer the old floating document windows, which do make it easier to drag images or layers from one document to another. If you're a fan of tabbed documents, there's no need to change anything in the Preferences, but if you'd rather have your images open in independent document windows, uncheck the Open Documents As Tabs and Enable Floating Document Window Docking options in the Panels & Documents section of the dialog box. As with any of Photoshop's preferences, you can always come back here at any time to enable or disable these options:
At the very top of the Application Frame is a row of tools called the Application bar (Figure 1-2), which gives you one-click access to handy stuff like Adobe Bridge (covered in Appendix C, online), extras (guides, grids, and rulers), zoom controls, and more. The real gems, though, are the Arrange Documents menu and the new Live Workspace buttons (shown in Figure 1-1 and discussed on Customizing Your Workspace). The Arrange Documents menu lets you organize your open documents so you can see them all at one time, which is handy for evaluating before and after versions of images or just managing a bunch of open windows (more on that in Chapter 2!). A new option in CS5 is the CS Live button on the far right, which gives you access to the new CS Review system mentioned back on page 4.
Now comes the fun part. You will just have to copy your manifest file to all of the application folders that you would like to change the scaling on. For example, Photoshop.exe is located at: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit) and I created a manifest file in text editor named photoshop.exe.manifest to place in that folder.
Figured out that I needed to specify in windows that Notepad should be used to open the Photoshop.exe.manifest file. For any newbies like me = save it as a .txt file. Fixed it just fine. (Sorry, new to registry edits)
I am wondering for the adobe programs with space in the name ei: after effects, flash builder, content viewer, media encoder, widget browser, premier proDo you name the file aftereffects.exe.manifestOrafter effects.exe.manifest

This setting should definitely be off. I had it on so I could drag windows to a regular monitor (LoDpi?) to read them when necessary. (When it is off, Windows downsamples so that the LoDpi physical sizes match the HiDpi, making them even less readable.)
